HUNT DOWN THE GALAXY’S MOST WANTED CREATURES – AND COLLECT YOUR REWARDS!

After accepting a mission from the Digital Bounty Board, you set off in your trusted spaceship on a quest to capture (or eliminate) fearsome monsters lurking in the far corners of the universe. Each hunt requires cunning, skill, and a dash of bravado as you face off against powerful beasts that won’t go down without a fight. But remember: there’s always a bigger bounty waiting to test your mettle!

Heavily inspired by classic Monster Hunter–style titles, our project The Harakin: Monster Bounty Hunter is a top‐down 2D action game where you switch between controlling your hunter on foot and piloting a specialized bounty spaceship to chase down interplanetary prey. It draws on old‐school arcade sensibilities, offering fast, intense hunts and a gear system that rewards adaptability.

GAMEPLAY

Combat & Exploration

When you land on a target planet, you’ll navigate hostile terrain in top‐down view, using an array of tools to track, hunt or capture monsters. Stay light on your feet, time your attacks, and anticipate the creature’s moves if you want to survive and collect a flawless bounty!

Spaceship Maneuvers

Between hunts, you’ll hop back into your spaceship to explore new sectors, scan for monster habitats, and engage in quick bursts of aerial combat. Enemies might strike from orbit or follow you between planets, so be ready to blast back at a moment’s notice!

ITEMS & GEAR

Enhanced Gear

From ghosts that shot arrows to poison‐infused blades, these specialized items aren’t just for fun, they fundamentally alter your combat abilities. Equips let you tailor your hunter’s skill set and keep pace with the galaxy’s deadliest creatures.

Field Kitchen

Hunt for exotic ingredients scattered across planets, then cook them up in your trusty field kitchen. Each recipe provides potent buffs, like increased stamina, strength, or improved resistance. 

Workshop Station

Mastering the Workshop Station is crucial for any serious bounty hunter. Gather resources from fallen foes or salvage derelict spacecraft to craft an array of tools, traps, specialized arrow types, potent cures, and more. Crafting ensures you’re never caught unprepared.

Planetary Cycles

Time doesn’t stand still on these distant worlds, day shifts to night, exposing new threats and revealing hidden pathways. Observing and manipulating the environment is just as important as the gear on your back.
